Serving our Great Nation (2:37)
Joe was a helicopter pilot in the Marine Corps. Started out Active Duty and then went reserves after several years. After 9/11 he went back on Active Duty due to being furloughed from the Airlines, which were hit hard from the results of the 9/11 attack. He did two combat tours in Iraq flying Cobras providing close air support to ground troops and provide medivac helicopter chase support. After 20+ years he decided to retire.
Transitioning to Entrepreneurship (11:20)
Joe started out as a young age of wanting to do entrepreneurial endeavors. As a kid he had gigs that allowed him to pursue making money and doing his own endeavors. He was very interested as he served in the military in still coming up with some various entrepreneur’s options but was hard to pursue consistently. He has had several ideas but was always in search of what the right thing to do would be. Once he wasn’t flying it gave him more time to pursue his passion, but as part of this he decided to get his Masters Degree in Entrepreneurship. Transitioned back into the Airline industry while he worked on his Veteran on the Move Podcast. He loves the aspect of having these conversations with guests and this gives him the direct access to the entrepreneurs.
